We don't need no Education

Vi:

This is one of my most favourite looks, whenever there is a fancy dress party i always go as a Schoolgirl so when i spotted my outfit in Sticky fingers i just knew i had to blog it.
Obviously at school i was always a good girl, well behaved and smart (yeah right) so i went for the good girl image for my look.

My hair this week comes from Elikatira, i chose "again" in the carrot reds set,  As a RL hairdresser the bob is a style i never get bored of and i love all the different variations of the style, This hair has the gorgeous A-symmetric fringe, there is also an option in this set to have the fringe pulled off the face in a quiff which is just as cute, i always opt to buy my shorter hair styles from Elikatira  and my wedding hair is from there too. as you will see in next weeks Blog hehehe
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Elikatira/62/127/34

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Geek glasses, I'm a total nerd so i feel these fit me perfectly, i have several pairs from different stores including Pritty and several marketplace pairs but the ones i chose for this look are from *cute bytes* they are texture changeable, they are scripted so you can change the colour, accessories, studs, transparency, and re size them and they are a MUST have for any self proclaimed Geek. I'm not sure if there is an in world store but you can buy them for just $50l  on the marketplace
https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/cute-bytes-Geek-Glasses/765459

My outfit comes from the fabulous Stickyfingers, i just adore this store right now, i seem to spend a LOT of money in there, Their clothes are all gorgeous you'd be totally spoilt for choice.
This awesome schoolgirl outfit comes in red or blue and the tie is included in the set. it's available in world for $240L, it's totes worth joining the sticky fingers group for their monthly gifts and they are always taking part in hunts so there are extra goodies available if you can just find them
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/The%20Bahamas/213/200/1071

no prizes for guessing where my shoes come from...... YES N-core!!! they are the super cool ultra platforms, i opted to wear the fishnets with them which are included in your box along with the hud to adapt the skin tone etc.  j'adore these shoes, Brookie and i have been drooling over them for weeks and i got them first muahahahahaha. If i even tried to walk in these in RL I'd break my neck for sure, happily i can even run in them in world hehehe  They are available in world for $795L

Brookie:

This week, Vi and I have gone back to school!
When i used to go to school, I was a bit on the wild side, and for this weeks blog, I decided to stick with that and show a little rebellious streak :o) So my version of Back to school, isn't exactly what we would want our teenagers going to school dressed in!!

First up, my hair. I opted to go with a ponytail as it was my preferred style back in the day, and as i went to a convent school (before i was kicked out!) it was a somewhat enforced hairstyle too. This hair is from the brilliant Truth Hair, and its called Keeley, here I'm wearing the streaked option, but it comes without streaks for the better behaved girls!! I love Truth hair for the brilliant textures and attention to detail, such as the little hair clips that this one sports.
Truth - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Truth%20Hair/113/35/27

Now my outfit, which once again I've mixed and matched from items i already own.
Firstly my cardi, which is one i bought in a number of colours from Boom, when they had a sale on. Its called Wrong Sized Cardi because as you can see, its a couple of sizes too small! This cardi is lovely and looks brilliant with jeans or skirts, and again, its got lovely attention to detail, like the scrunched up arm prims.
Boom - http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Existence/158/65/22

My shirt is actually a dress that has a shirt in the pack. Its called My Darling from Ero Rabbi. The shirt & dress come with re sizable prim collar & tie, cuffs and shirt bottom prims. The dress option is super sexy and looks like you have just gotten out of bed and thrown your lovers shirt on, super cute.
Ero Rabbi - http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife//156/28/111

My skirt is from the amazing Sakide which i think I've mentioned in every blog up to now!! Its called the Zipped Mini, and comes in a variety of colours. As you can see, I'm wearing the open zipped option, but this skirt also comes with a closed zipped option too.
Sakide - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dark%20Tranquility/129/93/24

Lastly are my shoes, which are also from Sakide, and come in a variety of colours, these are the Black Damask and i love them for their flexibility, i can wear them with skirts, dresses, pants, jeans, everything and they are super easy to fit.
Sakide - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dark%20Tranquility/129/93/24

So that's my back to school week, yes ill get detention for turning up like this, but who cares as long as the hottie from my science class is there too?

My Big Fat Gypsy Fashion Fest

Vi:

This week we chose Gypsy girl as our theme, and it's been great fun, i have to say my whole outfit came from the same shop but it was a case of, i saw it and i HAD to have it, it's so well made and totally gorgeous to wear.

OK so we'll start with hair, this gorgeous style comes from D!va it's called Airi2 and the colour is called Black amber, i really love the hair from D!va the only thing that disappoints me is that they don't have decent gingers, the colour range is limited  and i found that black amber was the nearest to my usual choice of colour. in each pack of this style you have 2 fringe options, a full full or a side swept fringe. and the ribbon is texture changeable which helps  for changing outfits. i love how well made the hair is and the style i felt was perfect for my gypsy girl romantic look.
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/CalanDiva/149/157/23

my outfit comes from League, The Seashell blouse and Nomad skirt.

The blouse, i chose in cream, it looks amazing as part of this outfit but also could be worn with jeans and look equally as gorgeous, comes in Three different layers for your ease of use.

The Nomad skirt comes in a variety of shades and patterns,  for my look i chose the floral and cream, the skirts includes two hip fits and two lengths so you can find the size that suits you best and re size from there, to wear this skirt to full effect the designer recommends using a "calm" ao, as the skirt has many prims that attach to various lower parts of your body and if you wear a crazy ao it will appear to be flying all over the place, the belt and tassel's are all included in the skirt too i think it's absolutely gorgeous.

My Necklace was also from League, the "Vintage" jewellery set you can wear the set separately or all together as i have done, it does also come with Earrings but i feel lost without my hoops and wear them all the time.
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Depraved%20Nation/95/178/71

For my Gypsy girl look i chose to go barefoot as the skirt is so long you can't actually see shoes underneath it so i thought why waste time blogging about shoes that you can't see. Normally i would wear my Bare feet from N-core (included in Brookie's  blurb below) rather than just have horrible noob feet. and i also wore my eye makeup from Damned which is mentioned in a previous blog , I'm really happy with this look and i really enjoyed looking for girly   styles that wouldn't be my usual look.

I picked up this skin at The Dressing room, it's by Glam Affair and is called JadisV2 in green ash, i absolutely love The Dressing room for picking up quality bargains and i think its definitely worth joining the group to keep informed on new updates.

Brookie:

Helloooo again Peeps,

This week is Gypsy Week, and once again I've had a ton of fun looking for inspiration and trying on different outfits and hair. The Gypsy look is - I think - a really sexy look, and so feminine.

The hair Ive chosen for today's theme is a gorgeous scarved one from D!va, who do some of the most feminine, pretty girly hair in SL, I love the textures and colours. This hair is called Mai, and it comes with a scarf and chain, both are retexturable and also removable. It was a gift from when D!va celebrated more than 10,000 group members. This hair, and other group gifts is available upstairs at the main store along with some lucky boards-happy days eh?
D!va- http://slurl.com/secondlife/CalanDiva/148/157/24

Now to my outfit, which is a skirt and top bought separately and matched up to make a complete outfit.

My top is one I have bought from marketplace, a gorgeous Peasant Wench top from Candace Hudson, I'm wearing the white version, but its also available in black. This top takes a little editing to fit to your boobs but is well worth taking the time to do. Theres a few options for this top too, so you can change it up a little every time you wear it, theres full sleeves or short sleeves, a chest prim and a bottom lace prim, great for mixing and matching. Candace does quite a few Gypsy/Peasant clothes, its well worth a look, the textures and prims are spot on.
*Marketplace link* https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/PEASANT-WENCH-lace-TOP-Only-COPYMod-By-Candace-Hudson/2121511

The skirt is one I've had sitting in my inventory for quite a while, and to be honest id forgotten i even had it! Its from the brilliant Sakide (used to be Sassy Kitty Designs).
This very sexy skirt drops slightly at the back to show a hint of butt cleavage, and also comes with 2 pants options depending on your preference - a leggings option, and also a shorts option to show that leg!! The prim skirt has a re sizer option to easily adjust to your shape.
Sakide- http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dark%20Tranquility/129/93/24

noob feet that we are "born" with in SL, I invested some time ago,  in the Bare Feet from the amazing, brilliant, and fantastic N-Core! I  swear by this store, the shoes (and bare feet)  are truly amazing, each comes with a skin match hud, and also-and so importantly-a nc with the skin matching codes of some of the best known and popular Skins in SL. This makes it super easy to match the feet to your skin-genius.
N-Core - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Heels/106/127/23

Along with my feet, I've chosen to accessorise my ankles with some lovely little ankle bangles from Twisted & Spoiled. The bangles unfortunately aren't sold separately but are part of the kaftan and Bikini Set, which i bought in nude, and is available in lots of other colours.
Twisted & Spoiled - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Twisted%20and%20Spoiled/126/198/21

My bracelets are from one of my favourite jewellery stores in SL-LouLou and Co. This store does gorgeous jewellery and accessories, really quirky and unusual in style, and expertly made. The bracelets are called Enigma and come with lace gloves which I've opted not to wear for this theme. They are available in white too which i wear quite a lot with other outfits.
Loulou and Co- http://slurl.com/secondlife/Loulou/128/161/34

My nails and rings are some of my favourite. They are from Virtual Insanity, another of my favourite jewellery shops. Ive been shopping here a couple of years now, and with each of my avatars, its always been one of the first places i come. I have tons of nails from this store (amongst other things lol) , and honestly i think they are far better than nails of other stores, i particularly like the ones that come with rings, but sometimes ill wear the nails on their own, or with rings from other stores. This set is called ASIA rings and nails, and if i remember rightly they were released as a fund raiser for the Japan Tsunami Relief Effort, but they are still available now.
Virtual Insanity - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Bada%20Bing/131/154/36

So that's my Gypsy outfit, I hope you like it, and i hope to see you next week.
Happy Shopping,

a PS from Vi.

Viva Le Vintage

Vi:

I'm a huge fan of Vintage looks in both RL and SL so i was excited to hear about the Vintage fair, i uploaded lots of $ and off we went.
I tend to wait until a lot of people have been before i go to these things because, a/ i crash a lot b/ shopping in lag annoys me and c/ i worry that i won't get my goodies if i crash
but i made it and i had a great time, it was awesome to see how peoples versions of whats a Vintage look varies, so Brookie and i set out on our own solo shopping missions so we could see how different our looks would be after we were done. obviously all my outfit was bought from the Vintage fair but i will adhere to give you the LM's for the stores where possible

i started with Hair, i bought mine from *Plume*it's their Retro style and I'm wearing it in "brick" i love how glamorous it looks all swept up in waves and i feel it really draws attention to my facial features, which as any Hairdresser will tell you, you always try to compliment facial features with hairstyles rather than try to hide them.

My makeup comes from Damned, i love the makeup's they do this one give a really nice dramatic effect to the eyes and it's worn as a tattoo layer both Brookie and i wear this one a lot
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Atlantic%20City%20Island/106/27/3999

My dress is from Ingenue, this is one of my favourite stores for Vintage clothes, they are always high in quality.
The Dress i opted for is Martine and i bought it in "Harvest"
i love this style and it makes me feel very feminine, immediately i wore it i wanted to go dancing, and swish around in my skirt.
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Lo%20Lo/173/73/22

My shoes came from N-core and they were on sale!!! woot woot, i absolutely adore N-core shoes and i wear them 99% of the time so when we hear of a sale you can guarantee Brookie and i will be there.
the shoes i am wearing are Obsession Xtremeheel 2 in Lemon. and i got them on sale at just $295L BARGAIN!!

I have totally loved my week in Vintage clothes, next week we're going for the Gypsy style i can't wait!!

Brookie:

Hello peeps!!
Well this week was our vintage week, and i have to say, I had a lot of fun, trying different looks and styles. Plus  with the vintage fair being on there was no shortage of inspiration!
I wouldn't say my outfit is very vintage, but Id say it was vintage inspired, and I think it hints at a 40s pin up look which is one I love.

Vintage fair- http://slurl.com/secondlife/Retro/128/14/21

The hair, is probably classed as vintage, because its a very old one from Truth, I bought it ages ago, and I love the way it takes the hair from the face with the texture change scarf.
Truth have been at the forefront of hair design for years, and its easy to see why, the textures, colours, and styles are so realistic and detail rich.
Truth- http://slurl.com/secondlife/Truth%20Hair/113/35/27

My sleeves tattoo is another vintage buy, I got it from a store called [aRAWRa] but its sadly closed now. You can get similar style sleeves from [OW] and Ive also seen one on marketplace by dead carrot
[OW] - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Azrael/123/209/22
{Dead carrot} on marketplace - https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Dead-Carrot-Sleeve-Tattoo-Cupcake-heaven/2018886

My dark eye makeup is my favourite, its from damned and I love the dramatic look it gives any skin as its a tattoo layer. Damned do fantastic makeup tattoos, from the dramatic to the subtle, fantastic peircings, skins, eyes  and body tatts too.
Damned - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Atlantic%20City%20Island/106/27/3999

My top and my calf tattoo is from Artilleri, this store is fantastic for vintage and rockabilly fashion. They sell clothes, hair, furniture, tattoos, all sorts of top quality 40s/50s retro goodness :o) This top comes in a  variety of colours, and has a  prim halterneck, I love it.
Artilleri - http://slurl.com/secondlife/artilleri/93/123/27

The skirt is another vintage buy, as Ive had it from when I was just a little nooblet! Its a gorgeous high waisted skirt from Sakide (was called Sassy Kitty Designs).  It comes with options for 3  different colour buttons and comes in a variety of different colours. Its easily updated or retro-ed depending on your style/mood. Sakide is definitely a must go store, they have loads of goodies, sales, hunts etc but the main reasons you have to go, is the quality of the clothing and the variety of clothes.
Sakide - http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dark%20Tranquility/129/93/24

My boots are from THE best boot store in SL....Bax. Aside from making the gorgeous little ankle boots I have on in the pic, they do the most amazing knee high boots, which are personally sized perfectly to your shape by their amazing team of fitters.
The ankle boots I have on, and the Prestige knee boots come with loads of options, from adding  cuffs to the tops, to changing the accent colour (laces, sole etc).  Plus the boots come in 3 main colours, black, light grey, and dark grey. Loads of options for one price, love them! Each pair of boots come with different options so check them out.
BAX :: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Boots/163/125/29

So that's my vintage inspired look peeps, hope you enjoyed reading, don't forget if you have any thoughts, ideas, tips or themes you wanna see us cover, just give us a shout in world.
See you next week!!

We will Rock you

Vi:

Rock Chick week for me has been really easy and a lot of fun, this is my normal style so the hardest decision for me was which outfit i would choose out of the many i have already.
After much deliberation i opted for a mix and match of lots of items , so I'll start from the top and work down.

My hair is Alex by Maitreya, i just love the heavy fringe (bangs) and the way it accentuates my face with soft waves falling softly over my shoulders and back, as I've mentioned before i love my Gingers and the Maitreya "reds" give plenty of choice, today i have opted for Henna. My Fiance always comments when i wear this hair so i know it's a good choice for me.
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Maitreya%20Isle/178/175/23

I have many pairs of sunglasses but i think if you want a true rock Chick look then you HAVE to go for aviators, i found the ones i am wearing on the marketplace for just 40L (bargain) they are from HOC - House of Curios and in the box you get a male and female pair of glasses. i like the menu on them and you can change the frame, Glass and opacity to suit your requirements.     https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/HOC-Industries-Aviator-Style-Glasses-Unisex-003/311551

My top is again another Marketplace bargain  from {uf}  the leopard and lace crop tee, the fat pack is available on the marketplace for $400L, you can also buy them separately if you don't like all the colours.  https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/uF-Leopards-Lace-Crop-Tee-Fat-Pack/2538586
there is no inworld store currently for {uf}

i bought my tattoo from ::YaYo:: it's called "Lyrical" and i thought it was perfect for my rock chick look, i like how it seems to float out of my pants and across my hips giving a very sexy look, there are lots of Tatts to choose from at ::YaYo:: and all available on the marketplace too, for the inworld store visit http://slurl.com/secondlife/Perfect/139/57/25  or for marketplace shopping try https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/26848

My belt comes from Coco, possibly one of my most favourite stores on sl with hundreds of high quality items, the belt is called the "wrap skinny belt" and it comes in two options, silver and studded ( both are included) for the price of just $50L  you can choose from silver or gold sets.
visit them inworld at  http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/COCO%20DESIGNS/78/179/22
and while you are there join their update group to get access to the amazing 16 group gifts!!! trust me you don't want to miss these.

I just adore my skinny jeans from Sassy Kitty i can wear these anyway anyhow, these are a MUST to any rock chick! mine are the low unbuttoned jeans and i always opt for the skinny cuff, but there is a flared option included in the set if you prefer it, they are available from the marketplace for just $120L although the pic on there doesn't do them justice, and these are also a favourite with my Fiance, so ladies give that guy in your life a treat and treat yourself to these amazing jeans.    https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Sassy-Kitty-Designs-Low-Unbuttoned-Jeans-Black/1815636
or inworld  at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Dark%20Tranquility/128/78/24

The Shoes i wear to complete my look come from N-Core, they are the Sense extreme heel in black, Shoes here are priced from $595L which for the amazing quality you get is extremely good, the shoes always come with a hud so you can colour match your skin and choose your nail polish and accessories. i belong to the N-core update group and picked these up as a group gift, Brookie and I just love N-core shoes and we're always excited when we get the chance to pick up a new pair of shoes free there, although i have to say we usually end up buying two or three more pairs every time we go to collect the group gift so they are obviously very smart people at that store.
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Heels/106/127/23

My props for my shoot  today:-  firstly my wicked guitar - a Vintage Fender Stratocaster from GCD musical instruments, i love to play about with instruments and have many, 99% of which i bought here, they are amazing quality and great fun and VERY reasonably priced so pop on down and give them a try i promise you'll have fun
 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/GCD%20Club%20Equipment/140/160/35

My microphone and poses come from Embody i really like the poses from here and especially when they include well made props too, this set i picked up on the market place for $239 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Embody-Prop-Pose-Pack-F-IDOL/1828809   (they are also available separately for $59)   but they also have a store inworld at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Playground/63/198/21

and My cigarette is by Shelter, a little extravagant at $600L on the marketplace but it does come with a zippo lighter and animation http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/This%20Way/40/156/24

The sharp ones amongst you will also notice that i have a new skin hehehe, this is something i don't do terribly often so when i find a skin that i love i stick with it for a LONG time, this one i spotted in the Dressing Room on offer for just $70L and i just couldn't say no. i have fallen in love.
Its the Gio natural skin from Glam Affair's Fall/Winter collection and the detail on it is exquisite, i can't see me changing from this for some time. it's available at their inworld store for $999L http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Beauty%20Avatar%20couture/167/134/24

The Dressing room is always worth a visit to pick up some awesome bargains from great designers, items change regularly so join the update group to be kept informed.
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/This%20Way/40/156/24

i hope you have enjoyed reading my Rock Chick blog and i look forward to the next challenge, Vi xxx

Brookie:

Hi Peeps!!
This week, its Rock Chick week \o/ This is  one of my fave looks i couldn't wait to get started.
As I'm not a girly-girl I tend to rock up most outfits a little bit, using accessories, and tattoos etc.
Its been hard to choose an outfit for this weeks bloggy, but Ive decided to go for a sexy little dress & leather jacket combo.

I don't think a rock chick could be without her leather jacket, and mine is from Acid and Mala, it comes in 3 sleeve variations: Basic-a full length sleeve, Rolled-a half sleeve, rolled to the elbow, and a Vest- which is a sleeveless version. Here I've worn the Rolled, and used all the prim parts-collar pockets etc. I love the textures on this jacket, and all the prim parts are scripted for easy re size, its by far one of the best leathers in SL in my opinion.

The dress is from Sticky Fingers-i love this store for its sexy dresses and you can get the lilac version free if you join the group. The cups are lace so you can see nipple detail which is why its good to wear with the jacket-for the more modest girls :o) It comes in lots of pretty colours but i love the zesty lime green.
Sticky fingers- http://slurl.com/secondlife/The%20Bahamas/215/221/1072

The shoes i have on are Genova by Similar Italian Footwear  and i always wear them to funk up or rock up girly dresses and outfits, i bought mine from marketplace, but they are also available inworld, They come in a variety of colours and have a skin changer hud to easily match your skin colour.
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Sleeping%20Beauty/175/187/24
https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Genova-Shoes-black/2149284

My hair is from Ploom, i love the coke cans as rollers, very Lady Gaga!! Ploom is a brilliant shop for a more punky/rocker hair, and the textures are amazing.
The newer hair packs have a hud to change the base colours, which is brilliant  as it saves clogging up your inventory with 4 colours of hair in every pack you never or very rarely use. The hud also easily resizes the hair and changes the streaks (if any) to almost every colour you may need.
Ploom- http://slurl.com/secondlife/ploom/179/129/24

I think Rock Chicks have to have strong makeup, reddish lips and dark eyes, so I've gone with a tattoo layer makeup from Damned for my eyes, its a feline eyeliner nice and dark, i love the shape it gives the eye and i love that you can put it with any skin you like or take it off for a more subtle look.
Obviously the lips come with my favourite skin, Autumn from Curio-In my opinion the best skins in SL!
Damned-http://slurl.com/secondlife/Atlantic%20City%20Island/114/27/3999
Curio- http://slurl.com/secondlife/Curio/128/130/38

So that's my version of  Rock Chick, one ill be rocking out quite often!!
Thanks for reading peeps, and ill see ya'll next week for Vintage, meanwhile, happy shopping!!

The Naked Truth

Vi:

My Sisters and i spend most of our online time shopping, we can chat for hours about our bargains and new finds. We are often asked where we shop, as although we're all very different we seem to love the same items we just wear them in different ways, so i thought why not start blogging about this as it's interesting to see just how many ways an item can be used, so Welcome to our blog Two sides to every style, we don't profess to be amazing writers but i hope you enjoy our passion.

Everyone in Second Life is unique, and we all take time to search for skins, shapes, eyes, eyelashes, hair, fingernails, makeup etc to make our avi's the very best that they can be, everyone has their own ideal,  we make our avi's a little of what we'd like to be in Real Life, some people like to say they base their avatar on their Real selves but i think even those people give the Avatars a little tweak here and there to make them a perfect version of themselves.
Me, I go through phases depending on my mood, sometimes i like to be emo, vamp, or gangsta, sometimes i like to be a pretty pink girly princess, but for me the basics of my avatar never change.
so this is my Naked truth;

My shape is Chloe by Noya  it was a marketplace purchase, the complete avatar for just 99L  like most girls i cannot resist a bargain. I love the fact its a very feminine shape, not too tall, and realistic size breasts and bum, its also modifiable so i am able to make tweaks now and again i like to look like a healthy young woman, not too stick thin and gaunt.
https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/NOYA-PROMO-CHLOEE-Female-Model-Avatar/2031055

My Skin is from Belleza, i am currently wearing Elle which i got as a group gift, i had gone along with my sister Alei to help her choose a skin and joined the group and picked up the gifts, i totally fell in love with Elle whilst wandering around the store and was thrilled to discover that it was in the group gift packs,  and have worn the skin ever since. Belleza skins are always very good quality and well made, and loads of choices. The only problem i have there is making a decision.
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Belleza/127/62/26

My eyes are Scarlett2 in dark blue from Redgrave, i don't think you can beat Redgrave for their eyes, they have an awesome range of colours and i just love how they sparkle. many eyes look too "glassy" and the colours unnatural but with Redgrave eyes even the strangest colours look authentic.
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/REDGRAVE%20Skins%20Fashion/95/207/21

My eyelashes are Vampire from Redgrave, I'm a lover of long lashes in Real Life so long lashes for me was essential in Second Life  too. when you buy eyes from Redgrave eyelashes are always included but i prefer to wear mine longer so i opted for the vampire ones, i love how they give definition to my avatars eyes.

My Tattoo is from AVM i have gone through phases of full body tattoos but i always seem to come back to just my angel wings, i would feel naked without them now, i do like my tatts to look authentic also, so i always tend to opt for black or very muted colours, i hate to see bright coloured tatts they always seem too fake for me.

My Hair ...... mmmm now this is something that changes constantly for me, maybe due to the fact that I'm a hairdresser in Real Life and if i could change my hair in Real life as much as i do in Second life I'd be a happy girl, i prefer to stick to one colour (Ginger) and variate my styles according to my mood or the outfit I'm wearing. my favourite places for hair are truth, magika, boon and maitreya, surprisingly good ginger hair isn't all that easy to find and i want to be ginger not red.

so that's me, I'm not into prim boobs or nipples, i can never find fingernails that i don't have to edit extensively, and prim feet and hands are not friendly to me either i prefer to keep things simple. I hope you enjoyed my Naked truth and hopefully you'll follow us and see what ideas we come up with in future.

Brookie:

When Vi asked me to write  this blog with her, i was a bit hesitant at first, partly because I've never blogged before and didn't really know what to say!! But, i love shopping, in RL and SL so I'm just going to go with the theme of the week and talk to you all like your one of my friends, which i hope you do become :o)
So our first week is My Naked Truth, whats under all these lovely clothes we buy? Well i suppose the Two most important parts of an avatar are the Skin, and Shape, these two components transform us from the freaky noobs we once were, into the goddesses we want to be!!

My skin, is ALWAYS by Curio, i do have a few, but,  by far my favourite and most often used is the Autumn line, i have the fat pack and switch between them almost daily depending on my mood and look. Curio skins have so much detail and the frex version- the ones with freckles- is  so lush and detailed, in my opinion the best in SL, and now they have so many different lines, there's one to suit every look, mood and shape.

Which brings me neatly  to my shape. This shape i use, i have used from day one of Brookie's life, and also on my 2 past avatars. Its from Alady, and its called  the Miss World Shape. Its almost identical to the Supermodel shape, but a tiny bit smaller and a weeny bit curvier of bum (or butt-depending where in the world you are!) When i first bought it many many moons ago, it was a regular priced shape, but as its an older one now, you can pick it up for less than 100L..i know-bargain huh? Unfortunately its no mod, but the pack has like 20+ variations (from fried egg boobs to balloon boobs, longer legs, and skirt shapes) so theres sure to be something you like. Its the only one I've tried (and seriously I've tried hundreds of other shapes) that has the right nose, and eyes, yea i have a thing about noses and eyes!!

The other main components of an avatar is hair and eyes.
I'm a total hair whore and i adore trying new hair, I'm always blonde , but in the past I've been a fiery red, and by red i mean scarlet :o) Sometimes i want a punky edgy look-so my first ports of call are Raw house and Ploom, and other times i want a more girly, softer look, so ill head over to D!va or Yunas.
The textures, colours styles etc that these stores supply far outweigh any other stores in SL-in my opinion of course!! If theres any others  i should know about let me know, and i'll investigate, pronto!

My fave fave hair stores, of which there are many, are,
Truth- http://slurl.com/secondlife/Truth%20Hair/113/35/27
Magika- http://slurl.com/secondlife/Magika%20Land/127/102/22

Ploom- http://slurl.com/secondlife/ploom/179/129/24

For my eyes, well again, I'm a bit of an eye whore, but i always seem to come back to the eyes i got from [ DresseR! ] the whites are so clean and clear and the colours so bright. They dont have an in world store anymore, so I've supplied the web address for their marketplace store. Other eyes i love are those from Eye candy who do all kinds of different effect eyes-something for everyone!
For fantasy eyes (and indeed skin) you cant beat Plastik, omfg i love this store, and ill be bloggin about it lots in future i guarantee!

And of course eyes wouldn't look right without lashes!!! Lordy, i love my lashes! My favourites are from TGIS, its hard to choose between their Ultra long 3D Alpha Lashes and their Volum Express lashes, either way, ya gonna need to edit them to fit your eyes, but once you get it right you wont look back, they so rock!! Other really good lashes are  BG Lush lashes by eye candy-the multi pack has options for if you wear a fringe (or bags) on the left or right, so that the fringed eye has shorter lashes, so it doesn't get mixed up in your hair- genius, no?

The last basic element of an avatar, and these are just an optional extra, are tattoos piercings & nails, as I'm tattooed and pierced in RL i couldn't possibly have an avatar who isn't!

The store i rely on for my tattoos is always Para Designs, this store totally rocks, the attention to detail and the options always blows me away, the tattoos are available on all clothing layers & tattoo layers. They always have tons of freebs at their store and are also in SBS (super bargain Saturday-a group you NEED to be in if ya love shopping. More on shopping groups in a later blog) so you can always pick up a bargain there :o)
For my piercings and nails, Virtual Insanity is the place to go, OMG this store rocks!! The nails are awesome, most of the time they come with rings, and totally transform your avatars hands. The piercings and jewellery are so well made and detail rich ya have to go look! Also Virtual Insanity is in a few shopping groups so always have a bargain on the go \o/ If you join their group there are free gifts too, whats not too love??
Ella Bella, is another place that does wicked piercings, many of them are texture changeable, and sooo pretty, the prices are really good too!
